EXCERPT: NOTES
I will make this fancier to look at one day. I promise.
ANNA
History: Born on October 31, 1944 to Rosemary Madeline Way (nee Woodrose) and Christopher Marc Way, Annalise Mary Way's life at first looked promising with a nice house, nice parents and a nice town to grow up in in Houston, Texas. But Rosemary never did get over the demons of her past marriage that was rife with abuse and guilt. She began to hit or shake or neglect Anna but then shower the confused child with affection, starting a viscous cycle between the two of them. Christopher was a cowed man, letting his wife get away with it and helped cover it up partly out of devotion and partly out of fear that his reputation would be ruined if this got out. Then she met her half-sister from Rosemary's previous marriage, G.M Morris who was a rising author and poet at the time, two years later. She was taken out of her parents' care and put into her older half-sister's custody after an intense discussion with the young woman who threatened to reveal the truth about the Ways and what Rosemary did to G.M in her previous marriage if they did not hand over Anna to her as she was fearful of her half-sister's health. G.M returned to New York with Anna in tow and for the first few months it was awkward for the sisters but they eventually become closer and the sisters had a serious bond by the time next year came by.
1947 was also the same year G.M received negative attention thanks to the focus the HUAC and her controversial response to the threats made against her by the organization when she refused to go to a hearing. The spotlight on them was uncomfortable and came to a dramatic climax in 1948 when a man one night harassed and terrorized both the girls who were out celebrating her birthday. Having received an invitation from an Andrew Ryan to disappear from the world months ago, G.M finally accepted it and the two sisters became part of the The Vanishing. They spent the rest of their years in relative peace, where G.M continued to write and Anna continued to grow up. She's privately tutored by her sister, focusing mostly on maths, geography, biology and animal science due to Anna's dream of becoming a marine biologist. She's well known in the Plaza Hedone as the 'Littlest Big Sister' with how she does the chores like groceries and errands when G.M is too distracted/buried in her work to do it.
Personality: More intelligent than her young years would suggest, Anna tries to be a responsible young girl with how absent-minded her sister is when it comes to her own needs. Anna is an intelligent and clever girl with a clear set of dreams and demands in mind but she lacks focus and concentration when it comes to her work; often not doing her exercises as a result of wanting to do something more simulating. She's a thrill-seeker, ever curious and impulsive in her choices that creative and colorful due to her imagination being encouraged by G.M. She is a cheerful and sweet girl, willing to give people smiles and be a buffer to G.M's more rougher edges, but this is only to a certain extent. She will become angry and even aggressive if someone attempts to initiate physical contact with her if she does not know them very well or they try to get closer to her than she would allow. (Which happens to be five feet and she will keep that way like if someone gets closer to her, she will take a step back and if they keep doing it she insists they stop or they'll be sorry.)
Status: At 4'5, she's small for her age. She has dark brown hair and blue eyes, the eyes the only thing she shares with her half-sister since she took more of Christopher's pale coloring and more of Rosemary's facial structure compared to G.M who got more of her father's looks. Though healthy, she's more prone to allergies and cannot eat fish or chocolate or diary products. That and the abuse she felt at the hands of Rosemary for those two years did leave a mark on her. Anna walks with a slight limp due to DDH, caused by being excessively swaddled by Rosemary who wanted to keep her from moving and making too much of a mess in the house. Though she is naturally right handed, she uses her left hand due to Rosemary breaking her wrist when she was two years old and still feels discomfort and numbness when attempting to use it to this day.

EXCERPT: HISTORY

"EVERY TOUCH, WORD FROM THOSE TWO WAS LIKE THE KISS OF JUDAS. SEEMS SO SOFT, SWEET WHEN IN REALITY THE INTENTIONS WERE MORE OF CHOKING POISON AND BRITTLE CRUELTY." |
G.M Morris was born on September 18, 1921 to Rosemary Madeleine Morris (nee Woodrose) and Henry Peter Morris in Houston, Texas. Her father was much older than her mother at the time of G.M’s birth, his thirty-five against her twenty-one at G.M’s birth, and was not a kind man. He used to be a thoughtful religious boy who held a bright eyed look to the world and hoped to be a loving family man one day but things changed when the Selective Service Draft came to be on June 5, 1917. Henry, having turned twenty-one a month back, was in the ideal age to be drafted. He was sent to northern France in time to be entrenched in the middle of the Spring Offensive. Forced to fight and to see the horrors of war, it traumatized Henry and he clung harder to his religion as it was the only crutch he could depend in those dark times. He continued to serve his country until he was forced to return home after losing his leg during the advancement of the Hindenburg Line. Henry came back home as a changed man with only the bottle and his religion to cling on to for what he had done and had happened. He was aggressive, gruff and not hesitant to swing his fists when in his dark moods. He only had his moods when drunk which happened to be most of the time as he was an alcoholic. Rosemary still fell in love with him when they met in 1919 at a Sunday mass, those being the rare days Henry was sober, and thought she could change him. They later on married but it led to only disaster with him not only harming Rosemary but also G.M when she came along. G.M spent most of her childhood in fear and anxiety with her being an outlet for Henry’s anger issues. There were days he was kind, gentle but they were far and in between with him somehow putting the blame on G.M for whatever injuries he laid on her. Rosemary would tend to their wounds the best she could but also made sure there was a guilt trip waiting for G.M when tending to the bruises, wiping away the blood. If she hadn’t been so noisy this wouldn’t have happened, her mother would tell her. If she hadn’t gotten in the way of papa, eh wouldn’t have gotten mad. The little girl believed this since this was the only life she knew of and no one told her otherwise. The bullying, mild taunts and kids not wanting to be near her, she would receive when she was at school only served to confirm her depressing thoughts. The neighbors, despite knowing what was going on in the Morris household, refused to acknowledge it since it wasn’t their problem. Why should they have the anger of a drunkard be turned to them when they don’t even know this girl? They have their own things to deal with after all. There was one person who didn’t turn a blind eye to what had happened to her. His name was Edward Clyde, a person who moved all the way from England just to study at University of Houston in 1931. A literal ‘gentle man’ as G.M would describe him later on in life, Edward could not stand by to seeing a child harmed and tried to do what he could to help her. He first tired to help by contacting the police, which proved useless since an army friend happened to work in the station and helped cover up the abuse, and then by inviting G.M to his place if she needed a sanctuary from her parents. She came to the house often, always floored and overawed at the genuine generosity and affection Edward held for her when she visited be it to hide from her parents or ask for help in her homework or to simply spend time with him. It was Edward who discovered G.M’s love for writing and helped encourage her talents and her dreams to be an author after he asked her what she wanted to be. He ended up helping her finally feel worthy, feel like she was something full of potential. She never felt like that at home and as the years passed since meeting him, he began to eventually open her eyes that she deserved better than what she had and she did not deserve to be treated the way Henry and Rosemary were treating her. At the age of sixteen, G.M ran away from home when she finally decided she wanted to get out of that toxic environment and all consuming, enabling behavior between victims of violence and despair that were both her parents. They never tried to look for her, chalking it up as their ‘troublemaking daughter’ trying to get attention from them and will later return home sooner or later. That wasn’t the case with G.M as she ran straight to Edward for help and he was more than happy to aid her but couldn’t at that time himself, needing to go back home to care for his ailing mother since he was an only child and his father passed away in 1936. Having made a close friend there who always wanted a daughter of his own, he drove all the way to Austin just so the friend and G.M could meet. The two hit it off well enough and he left her under the man’s care and promised to come back for her when he returned from England. They could be a real family after that, he promised her on the day he had to leave. She believed him and waited, wanting to start a new chance in life with the closest person she could call a father. It was never meant to be. WWII began in Europe on 1939 and he would be one of the many causalities. Edward was drafted as a private and later on stationed in Singapore to fend off attacks against the Japanese. He ends up dying on February 15, 1942 due to the Alexandra Hospital massacre, one of the many injured patients who was rounded up and forced to march to an industrial area despite having a badly infected leg that was meant to undergo removal. Anyone who fell or stumbled to the ground were to be bayoneted to death by the enemy soldiers for being weak. He fell. Not that G.M knew. She believed that he was alive during the entire war, nothing could harm someone like Edward after all, and waited for any message, any note from him to come. They never did but she never gave up hope, thinking that he was just waiting for her to become successful like he thought she would always be. She studied under a series of private tutors given to her by Edward’s friend but later decided she wanted to make her ambitions of being a writer become real. She left for New York in 1940 after getting the friend’s reluctant approval. Never a sociable girl, she kept to herself and continued to try and improve herself and thus earned herself a sense of mystique from others in the underground publishing world with her extreme aloofness in the real world and her sharpness in her written words. It was there in the City That Never Sleeps that she learned the genres of confessional and surrealism that later on became her signature styles. Poems of black eyes and clear tears and stories of little girls having their mouths sewn up by vengeful angels with firepoker fingers were published and she soon became a popular author to read by those who were also disillusioned by the ‘great American society’ that she also made scathing comments in her publications now and then. And yet Edward still didn’t write to her or make any contact with her. G.M only later learned of his demise after a few weeks of the official end of WWII, with her having just turned twenty-three at the time. She learned the truth when she finally obtained contact details of several of Edward’s relatives and wrote to them, pleading for knowledge on him in a vain attempt to find out what happened to the man. An aunt replied to her letter a month late, apologizing to her and explaining his death that occurred three years earlier. A devastating blow for the girl, she delved deeper into herself and her works, becoming more and more of a recluse. She wrote and wrote and wrote, finding solace in that one thing. She cut off contact with everyone that showed a remote interest in her or genuinely cared for her, like Edward’s friend who she never heard from again, and she bitterly thought once or twice that she would end up dying alone. Then she learned of Anna. Annalise Mary Way, nicknamed ‘Anna’ by almost everyone, is G.M’s half sister and the daughter of Rosemary Madeline Way and Christopher Marc Way, an entrepreneur with a thriving business. Rosemary remarried a few months after Henry committed suicide via gunshot wound to the head one Sunday morning and the little girl was born on October 31, 1944 in Houston, Texas. G.M only learned of Anna’s existence when she decide to make a final visit to Houston in 1946 to properly say goodbye to her father, even if he was reduced to ashes and a tombstone, and the caretaker of the cemetery made a passing remark how she looked a lot like ‘Rosie and her little girl’ as she was leaving the place. Shocked, and worried, at the news of this, G.M set out to find her mother and this new kin of hers. She tracked them down, basically forced herself into their house to have dinner with them and everything seemed to be different. A white picket fence, a gorgeous two story home with lavish furniture and items thanks to Christopher’s successful work. She thought for a second maybe her mother had changed, broken away from it all. The alarms in her head were raised at last when she finally met the little girl who happened to be sporting a red mark on her cheek. Suspicious of her mother who claimed it was from hitting the door while roughhousing by herself, she heard that excuse before, G.M cornered Christopher and managed to extract the truth from him: Anna was being abused by Rosemary. Furious with the revelations that her mother was doing this to someone else, and the fact Christopher was letting this happen and even trying to pin the blame on Anna, G.M blackmailed the two in handing over custody of the girl to herself or she’ll reveal not only the abuse of Anna but what she went through as well. Fearing for his reputation and not wanting to take chances of this, Christopher relented and forced Rosemary to. G.M became the guardian of Anna and the women took the little girl away back home in New York. Awkward with Anna and the same being the same for the two-year-old, it was difficult to navigate at first their uncertain relationship. Eventually they bonded, first over the hardships they felt as Anna grew older and over genuine feelings of sisterhood and kinship. In 1947 it all changed again. A friend she made during her early days in New York was blacklisted from Hollywood thanks to the actions of the HUAC, who believed the friend and nine others to have some sort of connection with the Community party. This caused the group to have a difficult time getting work in Hollywood as no one wanted to be associated with them in fear of gaining attention too. Remembering their kindness in the past, and perhaps feeling guilt for pushing people away some time in the past and wanting to find some way to make it up for them, G.M did not fear the HUAC and publicly stood up for them by sending money to their family so they can have help in supporting them and dismissing the charges as fearful nonsense. HUAC found out about her actions and asked for her to come to a hearing for possibly having sympathy for possible Communists and for her then latest published works that insulted the 'crumbling rock of American society'. She refused the first time, citing herself as too sick to be able to go on the day of the hearing. It was true as her health never was the best due to her negligent nature of not watching for her own health as she was in a writing binge and did feel faint that month. A person of the HAUC came to visit her flat one day and hinted she must come the next time they called for her or, perhaps, someone might consider her unfit enough or dangerous enough to take care of her little sister considering her young age. Furious with the threat of being torn away Anna, the one person she loved with all her heart, G.M refused again and this time published her most controversial work yet: ‘The Scrouge of America’ An excerpt of it: “… We have fallen so far from Glory’s grace and are forever tumbling down, our skin breaking,She continues on in the four page poem, her message to the world basically meaning that men nor women should be judged by any creed or religion or color they have. Rather, they should be judged by the hard work they have done and nothing else should matter. Naturally she caused a roar of controversy with her work, earning disgust and admiration for her stance on this. It seemed to garner her enough admiration from Andrew Ryan because, on 1948 in the early months of it, she received an invitation from the man to come to a place where she would not be censored others, where her works would flourish and be met with approval by those who thought the same way. Initially thinking it as some sort of joke, G.M did not bother to reply to it and did not think much about it until October 31, she and Anna went out to celebrate the young girl’s birthday. As they were walking back home, the time being late at night for having spent the entire day out, they were suddenly accosted by a stranger who harassed and insulted G.M for her controversial poem, taking personal offense for what she had wrote. The two girls were just trying their best to ignore the person and shake them off, walking faster and faster until G.M decided to make a run for it and make a break for it. Anna became scared and started to the cry as they ran down the sidewalk and the stranger chased after them and reached out, grabbed the girl by the arm and pulled her back, deciding to take their anger out on her since their words had an effect on her at least. They had a few, heart-stopping seconds to hold the little girl and threaten her and her beloved older sister with death. G.M got her sister back in her arms and scared off the stranger when revealing a gun she kept in her purse at all times. The effect of that night left a mark on her however. She shook the foundations too much and this is one of the harmless people getting back at her. What if the not-so-harmless came around soon? G.M didn’t trust the police, never did thanks to the friend of Henry all those years ago, and thought she had no one else to turn to in this dire situation. When the realization that the world was truly no longer safe for her and Anna, she reluctantly accepted the invitation and went down to Rapture, becoming one of the many people part of the ‘The Vanishing’ that took place from 1946 to 1952 as people like G.M were given a chance to leave their lives for something better and they took the chance. Albeit with more eager than she expressed, with her being a skeptic of everything to this day. There in Rapture, comfortably settled in an apartment located in Plaza Hedone, she continued to publish her works though the reception for them was considerably more cool, with the wealthy wishing to focus on the splendid and the common class wishing to focus on a fresh new start but still selling well which is how she got there in the first place, her words to be constant reminder that the surface is a place they can no longer trust nor believe in. Not batting an eye, she continued her works and kept to herself. Tutoring the brilliant, clever Anna the best she could over their years of being in Rapture but allowing her sister to make friends with the other children here. Even with the upheavals that have been happening for the last few months, with the arrival of the new people/things in the city and the death of Fontaine and more, G.M continued to keep to herself and write but never touching on the matters of Rapture like most thought (or hoped) she would. Because as much as she uses her writing to voice out her opinon, she knew if she kept her head down and out of trouble, she and Anna little sister will be safe from the dangers that were there. Then the twelve-year-old girl, always a curious young one with a thirst for any and all knowledge, expressed an interested in these newcomers a few days ago… |

[There is a new face on the network. Judging by their attire, the somber-looking woman appears to be someone who has long since settled into the city.
In the background there is a young girl sketching with charcoal on another table but it is the woman that demands the attention of the viewers with her crisp voice and piercing eyes even if she gives off the impression she would rather be somewhere else than be talking to them.]
With the recent goings of what is happening in the city, I’ve been urged by other parties— [A subtle look at the little girl in the background before she continues.] —to make myself known to you all and to get to you know you better before you all, one way or another, leave the city for good.
I am G.M Morris. Some of you may have read some of my works in the past. I would like, if possible, to conduct interviews with you about where you are from and such. [Her lips twists visibly like she rather not meet any of them but the girl in the back coughs loudly at the silence.] There will be compensation in return of your time of course.
Please contact this EZWave or my public mail address if you are interested and wish to negotiate further. Thank you.
Log sample: The message comes late at night. When Anna is fast asleep, curled way in her blankets and security, and G.M is attempting to finish a story in the next few hours because if she does not the words will fade into the mists of her mind and be shells of themselves when she plucks them seconds minutes hours later from the caverns of her mind, literature Lazaruses.
It comes in the form of a male, five foot three who is gaining weight in his stomach thanks to stress and alcohol and has been crying for the last few hours with red eyes and runny nose. The next two words explain why.
"He's gone."
The words of castaway golems made from cobbled skin and greed becomes nonsense, strung together alphabetic words and periods. The words in a finger screech to a halt, following her orders she does not think but just does. Stop. Red light. Do not pass just yet. In her head she sees her thought process smashing, smoking in the fire of her shock and anger before it is smothered down by her practiced apathy disinterest. Do not engage. Do not end up like him. She has someone to take care of, after all. She didn't really know him. He pestered her, forcing her to meet at that tavern for drinks with others and to compare notes of their works though he chased after the truth and she wrapped herself in symbolism and confusing patterns.
She has no real attachment to this sad ending to this obvious tragedy.
(Perhaps if she repeats this to herself enough.....)
Geronimo Grimes always had that light in his eyes despite their time down here, thinking himself of David against Goliath with his words, his newspaper his polished pebbles. But they failed to hit his mark and he is the victim of violence, of circumstance and of his own hope. He'll still be here no doubt with Andrew Ryan being the angel holding the flaming sword to guard this twisted Eden. Perhaps Geronimo is a castaway golem himself, ghosting after the girls with glowing eyes and haunting songs.
"..... I see." She looks up, dares to look up because what if it is a test like what happened in Sodom and she is now to play the role of the foolish wife of Lot?, and finds herself staring at not blinding lights of the skies or wrathful angels of Him but very much a human, the message. Someone with a balding head, red eyes and runny nose. Picture of middle age and sorrow mashing together in an unfavorable, honest fashion.
"Thank you for telling me. I'll alert the others if you want? It looks like you need to rest. Go."
The message's face sags heavily, matching the slump of his defeated shoulders. He titters out some words, perhaps a thank you and something else, but G.M hears nothing. She stares at her typewriter and waits for the message to leave her be and collect her thoughts. It doesn't take too long. She risks it and slowly slowly slowly opens her hands and her fingers begin to breath again. They take little sighs and slowly leak out her letters and her voice once more.

☞ Character Information;
Character Name: G.M Morris. Gloria Mary and will anyone actually highlight this. Will they.
Canon: Original Character.
OU or AU?: OU. (Bioshock.)
Canon point: Current timeline of Rapture which is 1958. She's been here since the early days of Rapture.
Setting:
G.M's world is set in the world of Bioshock, specifically the first game of a video game series developed by Irrational Games. The time period is the late 1950s and the main (and only) location is that of an underwater city found in the North Atlantic Ocean, around 400 miles away from Iceland's capital known as Reykjavik. Its name is Rapture and is the city created by a man named Andrew Ryan who believed there should be no gods and no kings, only men and women who work and earn their share fairly. Feeling like he did not get it with his homeland Russia or in his new homeland the U.S, Andrew built his own world in secret and invited who he considered the best and brightest, the select few from around the world, to come with him. At first it was a marvelous place, people leaving behind their old lives for an opportunity to make it better for themselves and eagerly following Andrew's words for their promised hard earned profit, their link on his Great Chain. But discord has been sowed in the once glittering city as time passes on. People, the little people who did not have enough influence or money or connections to become one of the top Rapturians, are becoming restless due to their promises and dreams not being fulfilled and finding instead even more hardships due to the lack of communication with the surface world. People are talking, demanding either release or radical change to the system. Andrew Ryan's response is to either ignore it, make it worse or get rid of his contenders when they prove to be too much of a thread like with the vanishing of one Dr. Sofia Lamb on December of 1957 being a glaring example. With the death of the smuggler Fontaine and the appearance of the almost saint-like Atlas being the latest shocks for Rapture, as Big Daddies roam the halls as their charges known as the Little Sisters run ahead of them sing of upside down houses and angels, one can only tell what will happen next. More general information on Rapture itself maybe found here. |
History: The history can be found here in its own separate post. Warnings for description of abuse, suicide.
Personality:
‘Apathetic’ is the first impression G.M will give off when she meets someone, old or new. With her flat eyes and ever-present frown, she gives off the aura of a woman who would rather be anywhere else but here or with the person she is conversing with. This is very much an accurate impression as she has long learned the fine art of giving uncaring airs to anyone she does not know, does know, does not like or does like. It is very much on purpose and for, as she likes to believe, good reasons. This is a self-defense mechanism for her in an attempt to cope with the abuse she faced at the hands of her father and the losses she was dealt with. She tried to not care, to not show emotion so it would egg or enrage him further. She tried not to get attached to anyone anymore so the eventual loss and death wouldn't be as sharp or as painful. It stuck with her since then because it worked with some success in the past and it doesn't hurt to be careful because she is careful. She needs to be careful for not only her sake but for her sister’s too. This naturally it causes her to bottle up her emotions be it positive or negative and, in order to make up for the fact she cannot be reactive, be passive aggressive towards others she does not like. To compensate for this flaw of hers, she tries to improve it (in her own by) by channeling all these energies and feelings into her writings. She is very obsessive of this talent of hers as she sometimes feels like this is her only way of communicating with people without fear of being censored or ignored like she felt like she had been when growing up. Her ‘writing binges’ as she calls them gets to the point that she sometimes forgets to eat and drink and needs a reminder to do this or else she will become faint or ill. For someone who is intelligent and likes to think of herself as pragmatic, G.M does have her moments of reckless idiocy due to her deliberate passiveness and intense obsessive nature like the aforementioned forgetting to take care of herself when inspiration strikes her. She is cautious and wary of everyone around her, thinking and believing they have an ulterior motive to everything they say or do. Pessimistic by choice and nature, she doesn't hold breath when it comes to people saying ‘noble’ or ‘good’ things and takes everything with a large pinch of salt. Thanks to her creativeness and her turbulent life, it isn't hard for her to imagine the worse case scenario and in vivid details no less. As a result she is very much hermit and is very unwilling to meet people face to face, choosing to skip many social events long as she can. She can be coolly polite if the occasion calls for it. That is all one can expect from someone like G.M. Friendly conversations about family life or life outside of her job will be frostily shoot down with some words and a glare. She is unable, unwilling, to let her guards down enough to reveal her softer side and intimate details of herself to complete or almost strangers she meets at these extravagant and decadent parties that clash with her simple tastes. There is a bit of ego in her, when it comes to her works at least. Yet most of the time she is a humble person, her self-esteem not that good or high that once more stems from her younger years. G.M is a good person and there is a sweeter side to her bitter one. She isn't always a bitter ball of avoidance and apathy though she tries to be. It is just that a select few get to see this softer, kinder face of hers. One of them is her younger half-sister, Annalise Mary Way, the sole reason she came down here to Rapture. Caring for her like she’s the mother, G.M only allows Anna into the hard shell she made of her heart after all they have been through in the past. She always wants what is best for the people she cares for, going as far to give up her own pleasures to ensure their happiness like when she gave up smoking and drinking when Anna revealed she felt uncomfortable with G.M committing those vices. It is also why G.M will never use plasmids despite being heavily urged to. That, and she sees the side effects, both mental and physical, and is unwilling to go through those kind of changes. Though she neglects herself in health, she is always trying to keep in touch of Anna’s needs and wants. She spoils and coddles her as a result, to her sister’s dismay and embarrassment as any young child would feel when they have an overprotective and rather odd sibling for a guardian. Nevertheless, the sisters have a strong bond and G.M’s genuine love and loyalty for Anna can be seen by all be it the dedications she leaves to her sister in every work or the fact she wouldn’t have bothered to reply to the invitation to Rapture at all if not for that incident with the stranger and her sister back in New York. Her upbringing has left her with a simple view of religion despite what some may think. She is not conflicted over this and instead holds a steady opinion on it that hasn't wavered since her younger years. Religion, to her, is by her side and that’s about it. It isn’t something to loathe or hate or fear. It is not what forced her father to hit her or for her mother to ignore her. It was their choice to do so and theirs alone. Religion is just there and, at times, it can be a good source of inspiration for her novels, poems and other works of hers. It is in fact a main source of them with how depictions of the Bibles and works and names of saints are referenced in them. Her desire to keep people at an arm’s length explains her dry commentary meant to be both off-putting and dull to the other person and her decision to stay neutral in many situations if she can avoid having to choose sides. Like the current political situation in Rapture like Lamb’s disappearance and the death of Fontaine and the hypocritical takeover of Fontaine’s businesses? G.M might have an opinion or word about them but don’t expect her to say anything about it anytime soon. If she can avoid conflict and trouble, she will go out of her way to avoid it. But if conflict came for her or, God forbid, came after her little sister than G.M will not hesitate to fight back and only in those times will she show rare energy and strength to her, her desire to protect the only good thing in her life so strong she will lay down her life for Anna if the need arises. G.M is a generally uncaring and cold to all but she can summon the need to be passionate, reactive to defend the ones she loves even if it is at the risk of her own life. |
Abilities: G.M is a human through and through and does not have any special powers like super strength or flight. She also will not touch plasmids with the reasons mentioned earlier. To compensate this, G.M has two specific skills that can prove useful in combat.
SHOOT 'EM UP ◥ GUN SKILLS, RUTHLESSNESS G.M is a crackshot with a gun after deciding to make up for her lack of fantastical bee skills with good old shooting. Her choice of weapon is the legal shotgun of Rapture that is fully upgraded to not only increase the rate of fire but also to increase the damage of her shooting. She has the standard 00 bucks and the not-so standard electric and exploding ones for ammunition as well though the last two are in smaller supply as they are harder to get and are, naturally, much more expensive to buy. It doesn't hurt that G.M is not afraid to use this on others should the need arise. She learned a long time to ago you either hit back or take the hit and she isn't doing the latter anymore. Not when she has Anna to watch over for. BY THE BOOKS ◥ WRITING, INTELLIGENCE With a sharpened wit and an eye for a lot of detail so she can be inspired for her next work, G.M can notice things faster than most people. Not at the levels of, say, Sherlock Holmes, but is more aware of her surroundings despite what her attitude and her attempts to stay away from drama believes. Because one must be aware of the drama to be careful of being part of it after all, right? She is by all means a writer, meaning she is creative and can think up unique or far out idea solutions to her problems which is how she got to Rapture in the first place. Having problems with controversy possibly harming you and your loved one? Down to the bottom of the sea it is. |
How did your character arrive in Rapture? G.M was invited to Rapture as explained in her history. Initially wary of the idea, she decides to go for her sister's sake when the incident with the stranger shook both of them up.
Why are you choosing to continue your character's development here from another RP? N/A.
